Barges

We design and manufacture covers for canal boats – such as narrow boats and Dutch barges.

These are used to cover and protect the front and rear deck areas of canal boats and can include transparent sections of window material for vision and to allow light through together with flaps to allow ventilation. Some narrow boats and barges also have a pilot cover over the steering position giving weather protection for the steerer in bad weather. The cover can be removed in fine weather.

Our work is bespoke and made to measure each boat. The design process is specific and we like to meet with customers at their boat  to discuss details such as location of windows, zips etc. Please allow on average between 6-8 weeks from design stage until fitting & delivery stage.
